I Am An SOB! And I Am Ecstatic!

 

Much to my shock and amazement I was named an SOB (Successful and Outstanding Blogger) by none other than Liz Strauss, the goddess of bloggers.  I have seen her name mentioned on several of my favorite blogs, and I have to tell you I was stunned at being selected since I am a fairly new blogger.  I figured it would take me a very long time to make it on the radar screen of someone like Liz.  My eyes literally welled up when I went to her post and saw my little ‘ole entrepreMusings logo there.  There’s nothing like the feeling of having someone who is respected and admired in a field taking their precious time to shine their light on you.  It’s like a pat on the back…an ‘atta girl’ as they say here in Texas.  Thank you Liz!

I’d also like to thank Wendy Piersall at eMoms at Home because I’m pretty sure that her Stumbling Upon my Are We There Yet? When Will We Get there?! post is how Liz found me.

But most importantly a BIG thank you goes to Connie Reece at Every Dot Connects who got me started on this wild and crazy blogging ride back in May 2007!  She is an SOB too.

   Congratulations, Aruni! I feel like a proud mama.

   I knew Liz would find you before long — she’s an expert at spotting new voices that deserve recognition, and you fit the bill. I remember how tentative you were when we started, not sure whether you’d have anything to say, let alone the time to do it — and look how far you’ve come in a few short months. Kudos!

   Thanks Connie!

   I did initially wonder what I’d write about mostly because I was looking at the blog as a place I was supposed to write about my business and I couldn’t for the life of me think that I’d have much to say other than company news. But after some time and reading other great blogs, I came to realize that I was allowed and even encouraged to write about things other than my business. I could write about things that interested me that at the same time could help others and boy that got the juices flowing!

   Through the process of blogging, I’ve realized that I can write fairly quickly and what I thought would take a long time to do takes less time than I thought because I am having fun with it. It’s true what they say about time passing quickly when you are having fun!

   I look forward to seeing you for lunch this next week.
